The app "FluxScan" was developed with a clear focus on privacy and data economy. This privacy policy informs you about which permissions the app requires and how we ensure that your data remains protected.

2. 100% Local Data Processing (Offline First)
The most important rule of FluxScan is: Your documents belong to you.
All scans, recognized texts, signatures, dictionaries, and generated PDFs are stored exclusively locally on your device. The app never transmits scanned documents, texts, or personal data to our servers or third-party clouds.
Even text recognition (OCR) and translation happen completely offline on your smartphone.
3. Required Permissions
To function, FluxScan requires access to certain features of your device. These permissions are used strictly for the stated purpose:
Camera Access
Required to scan physical documents. Camera data is processed live and the resulting image is stored locally. No camera data is transmitted to the internet.
Storage Access (Photos/Media/Files)
Required to save finished PDF files on your device and to import external PDFs (or images) into the app.
4. Use of Google ML Kit (On-Device)
For automatic text recognition (OCR), document detection, and offline translation, we use the "Google ML Kit". We explicitly rely on the On-Device variant. This means:
- The machine learning models run directly on your device.
- Scanned texts or images are not sent to Google servers for processing.
- To download new language packs (for offline translation), a brief internet connection to Google servers is established to download the model package. No content data flows during this process.
5. Analytics Tools & Tracking
We completely refrain from using analytics tools, advertising trackers, or automatic crash reporting services (such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics) in FluxScan. Your usage behavior is not monitored or evaluated.
6. App Stores
When you download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, these platform operators collect statistical data independently (e.g. download numbers). We have no influence over this. Please refer to the privacy policies of Apple or Google.
7. Your Rights
Since we as app developers do not store any of your data on our servers, we cannot provide you with information about your scans or delete them. You have full control: If you delete the app and its data from your smartphone, all your scanned documents are completely removed.
